kevingamin
Next piece opens with yet another killer snare roll. Spider-Man theme. Look out.
kevingamin
RHR is really jazzing up the joint. A good number of park and blows interspersed within the drill, which is high in demand for a SoundSport group.
kevingamin
And a squealer to end the Spider-Man section of the show! What's this? The drum major has pulled out a saxophone and it's plugged into an amp. Horns all come in front of the field and play to the crowd for one final section of the show. kevingamin
Next on the field is Shadow from Oregon, Wisconsin. Their 2018 program is entitled "The Body Celestial" and consists of: Shine The Wayfaring Stranger Aurora Awakes
kevingamin
Solo snare starts with the pit. We have narration about looking to the stars. There are many star point props with mirrored sides on them. This might get a little blinding with the sun still out. Mello section features on the front side, now trumpets midfield take over the melody. The corps forms the constellation Orion on the field. Fun!
kevingamin
Baris and basses in the back around the 35. Handed off to the tubas and tenors as the rest of the horns play backfield.
kevingamin
There are 20 members in the pit. For an Open Class corps. That's amazing.
kevingamin
Opener is complete. Guard member brings out a trombone for a soloist. Lovely tone with only a little amplification for effect
kevingamin
Brilliant silver shimmering flags really accentuate the celestial theme during this section of the show
kevingamin
Nice spread by the corps, percussion on side one around the 30, the horns in formation to their right all the way to the 30 of side two.
