Curtis Matlin, PR 1983! He's the one that invented pulling the baton from behind the back! Every PR drum major has done it since then. Tradition!

Life after Phantom has been great: Assistant Band director at a local HS where a lot of students have marched (members in Crown, Spirit, PC, BD, SVC, Coats, prob more).  Of course he is in charge of Drum Majors and conducting as well.

Marcia was not only a goddess on Brady Bunch, but in DCI as well. I had the privilege of marching with her in '85 and she was as much an everyday leader as she was great in a show. There were no asst DMs when she had the job and they weren't necessary.

Early 70s Des Plaines Vanguard - John McClellan.

Showman on the field. I didn't march under him, but watched several rehearsals during that time and there was no question he was in charge and had the full attention of the entire corps.
