In October of 1971, at Indianapolis IN corps from the UOEJC and "Combine"
revolted against the American Legion Congress

How ironic is it that the national show structure came apart in Indy. Has everything been scripted for us by somebody with a weird sense of humor, at long time ago?

You know, I think The Cavaliers has an awesome ring to it.....  :)

Do you have a ringtone you could share? Like Siuey (sp) over & over or maybe their unique street beat that never gets old? Drum Corps Ringtones maybe a new revenue source for the corps..

Phantom Regiment is the runaway winner. But Santa Clara Vanguard is pretty bad ###. I would also suggest The Batallion has a good name.

You forgot "The Sounds of Suffolk," the circuit where Wayne Downey (Smithtown Freelancers now of Blue Devils fame), Kevin and Maureen Smith (St. James Saints, founders of Carolina Crown,) Tom Beresford (Babylon Islanders, WGI Contest Supervisor) and I (Medford Grenadiers and L.I. Kingsmen) all got our start, me as a water boy carrying First Aid kit. You've also omitted the Nassau-Suffolk Circuit which was popular with smaller corps and many colonial fife and drum corps.

Please correct your spelling of Long Island. Jerry Seinfeld (Massapequa/Matza-pizza native) already gives us a bad rep.

Hey!  You've already given your feelings about the Cavaliers name.  Don't even consider quoting the post you've made in this thread.
