St. Rita's entered the CYO Nationals one year when it was held at Boston College.  Either there was a fence around the football field or the seats were real close to the field.  Whatever the reason, the corps said they could not march their routine and the head judge would not make any changes.  As the story was told to me, as the contest continued, you could see the tail and break lights of the St. Rita's busses heading up a small hill, heading home, and supposedly, they never competed again.

Yes, this corps did exist... for one performance, indoors, spring of 1981. . :laughing:

 

 It was reportedly a Corps better suited for outdoors,  & winters.
