Their use of the music from "Rocky" would make any 27th member or fan jump up and cheer. The show is emotional and good. Also, does Guardians field a full corps?! With all sections, I think I counted either just at or just under 150 members. If so, I'm positive that's the first full corps of the day. Either way, spots in this corps clearly appear to be in demand, and I can see why. Can't wait to see what other crazy & creative productions this corps gives us in the coming years as they move up the ranks of Open Class and eventually (if it's their goal) secure a unique niche in World Class. Last I heard at move ins early June they were up to 140 on the field. The kids are super excited for all the things they are doing. This is my son's 2nd year playing contra with them. When I asked him how it's going "its pretty hype." I think that means really good. I think that they are going for target audience being the marchers, not the judges. Sometimes bites them in the ### but they are having a great time while doing it! My lunch run consisted of getting various pickled items from Trader Joe's to garnish the giant Bloody Mary pitcher I'm working my way through! I have some gummy bears as well.
