Keep their heads up and enjoy themselves. When I first watched the corps via the web I did not like the look of the uniforms. I totally changed my mind about that so I want to say to whomever designed them that you did a good job in my opinion. Keep it up and have a good run into finals. This is the mindset that got Pioneer so many years of last place lovely Irish Springs shows. 2 1

Kingsmen SCV Madison Blue Devils Cadets Star Cavaliers Phantom Carolina Crown Bluecoats Any one of who ever marched in one of these corps has a higher expectation for their corps than any fan or alum of other corps could fathom. They wear their championships like a badge of honor. This sounds like a Nebraska football fan.

My son is entering his senior year at Nebraska and was drumline captain last year. They get pretty ... protective ... about their football history.

If I recall that far back, it seems like that period of the demise of the Blue Stars was a result of how many female members came off tour pregnant.

There is no such thing as "drum corps royalty". It is 2019, and judging is not based on "royalty" or what used to happen back in the 1970s. The Madison Scouts placed 17th in San Antonio because there were 16 better corps there. You can accept that, or you can do something to help your team. But no amount of firings or online tantrums are going to get Madison back in the top 6. "Royalty" organizations exist in every industry, activity, sport, etc... Ford, GE, IBM, Coca Cola, Microsoft... Yankees, Cowboys, Celtics, Packers, Canadiens...Cavies, Garfield, SCV, BD, Madison. Edited July 28, 2019 by FlamMan
