They just need a competitive read in a few places and a mild break in the percussion caption and they will take 2nd. They have already been above BD this year... It's neither out of the question nor should it be a surprise. They are holding (and have been) a silver placement in GE nearly all season. It's more of a feat (if you think about it) for them to hold in 3rd with that consistent GE placement. The percussion situation is the anchor holding them in place. Or tonight could be their one lucky break, and tomorrow they'll be back behind BD by more than a half-point again.
OhioBoy_99
The ONE time Bloo beat BD head to head this season, Bloo won General Effect 1&2, Visual Proficiency, and Brass over BD. Do we get any combinations tomorrow? I had Bloo a lock for 3rd and still do but anything can happen tomorrow night GO BLOO!!

Fracker
DCI scoring system is just baloney. Why not call it what is is-- a ranking system? Every judge scores up, there are no ties which is pretty unbelievable. If they are going to use objective scores, then score objectively not comparatively. Its sad to see great groups getting 8.x when in reality they would score higher, if there weren't 10 more corps to play after them.

I'm far from OCD but, Lord please, let them make that last placement of those things clean tomorrow. They've got EVERY single placement good enough for me (even the 'disunity' one looks right to my eye) except that last one. The one between the 30 and 40 is almost always off kilter just a bit. When they go to cover them, I'm thinking "fix it fix it fix it." I'm starting to think they do it intentionally just to annoy me.

This spread and placement is closer to what we had seen most of the season with both Blue's together. There's no reason to believe that Bloo WILL take second... but there is also no reason to be surprised if they do.
