I will absolutely never get tired of experiencing this Bluecoats show. It is that special.

On another note, now THIS is a Blair-directed show tonight. What a difference. 500% improvement in camera shots over last night. Please study this Flo...

I still think they should have gone with four different color jacket liners for that moment when four different groups flash them sequentially in "Dry Cleaner" in time with the list of fruit (as in fruit on a slot machine):

Oranges -- orange

Lemons -- yellow

Cherries -- red

Plums -- purple.

Yes. Indeed.  It feels like it's been 80s to early 90s since we've had that style for a whole show's build.

I'll agree the Ellis show from BD was great!

Madison tried it out awhile back but they pushed so many 'bits' into the show you couldn't get that toe tapping groove going.

It's too bad the BD and SCV also have great shows, because the Bluecoats show is just too dam good not to be first

It's the swing/be-bop in particular I've been missing.  You get "jazzy' things and numbers. but rarely a whole show built around the style

It's a shame a percussion section can be, I guess "not built up" because they play percussion parts which perfectly fit the music.

Absolutely spot on.  What's it all about anyway, making art or "fulfilling compulsory expectations"?

I know Blue Devils can always pack a punch, but I Bloo was really on target tonight, with a few new tweaks and surprises. BD could too,  but Bloo raised the bar high, I can't imagine what tomorrow will bring.
