I don't necessarily disagree. I'm just unsure of the specifics of those things. You may be right.

I do know that JD, Paul, Klesch, Jamey, Adam Sage, those types weren't people cutting their teeth at Regiment. They weren't learning how to be good at PR.

(This next section not directed at you,  SUTAsaurus.)

Is there a current PR designer or caption head that was successful in their role at another drum corps?

Brad Toth is the only one that comes to mind.

Will's stint with Spirit was a nonsucess that burnt to the ground. (I think the show was actually about fire.)

There has to be turnover for this to get better. No amount of optimism and sunshine puffing by others will make this a competitively viable staff.

It takes 10 seconds of watching PR not interact with, move, or design engagement with their props to realize they're in trouble.

I totally get what you’re saying General and agree with you about the turnover. I was around to see what happened after the 86 season and the 1999 season and I think it’s time for that to happen again.

I’m far from a sunshine puffer but I also believe the MMS will do what’s asked of them and in doing so, they will succeed not only from a self confidence standpoint, but a placing standpoint as well. I feel if they finish ahead of where they did last year they are headed in the right direction from a year to year standpoint....but this needs to be a long range success plan.

Drum corps is changing at a rapid pace, as is everything else around us. A turnover is necessary to push this organization towards a more competitive standing and it can’t happen fast enough. If RV has done a great job securing the Regiment’s financial viability then they have the $$$ to hire the staff needed to improve from a design/execution standpoint. So why isn’t he convincing the BOD to make the investment?

Axe grinders need not reply.

The biggest case of revisionist history I've ever seen to try to prop up people who are CURRENTLY underperforming over people who were known.

If that's the biggest case you've seen, then perhaps you need to get out more.

Let me just throw this out there. From what was currently available (2017), I was able to see the 990 forms for the top 11 corps. (Income and expenses). As you can see, the Regiment spent the least on staff. However, look at Cadets, they made and spent the most yet their ROI probably did not support the staff expense.

BD $3,793,949.00 $1,591,648.00
Vanguard $4,586,872.00 $1,317,704.00
Crown $2,404,773.00 $271,204.00
Cavaliers $1,443,604.00 $243,413.00
Bluecoats $2,073,202.00 $106,897.00
Boston $2,855,336.00 $585,029.00
Cadets $5,533,664.00 $2,188,736.00
Blue Knights $1,644,938.00 $132,522.00
Regiment $1,313,707.00 $98,196.00
Blue Stars $1,318,407.00 $170,721.00
Crossmen $1,279,912.00 $110,435.00

Is that Cadets only, or YEA? If the total organization, that would include USBands and in 2017 Cadets2.

Noticed a comment on a Facebook post yesterday that a couple visual designers were let go this past week. Curious to see if that’s indeed the case.

Yikes - while I don't think the visual design is competitive, I don't see what this accomplishes unless you've got someone else better to fix things. And if you have someone else better to fix things, why weren't they hired to begin with?

That said, no changes have been made to the webpage yet (not that it means anything).

Getting closer to making finals isn't a victory. Getting closer to finals is the best thing for the kids.

This staff deserves to go. In finals or out.

Regiment's moral victories shouldn't be "making finals" or "beating spirit".

There's been enough time for this regime to show its true colors.

thank you, General!
