I was wondering if they’re going to do a dress rehearsal in Stillman Valley like they used to do.

Phantom is in its last week at Western Illinois U. in Macomb and is now posting that they will do a public performance there this Friday night, June 7th. (cf. Regiment.org for more details.)

Will they be playing "Happy Birthday" to their corps manager? Will the price of admission be a present to have cake and ice cream? But no birthday punches 'cause he may hit back! I kid, I kid. It is his birthday though. He's "old."

Since corps aren’t really moored to their nominal home towns anymore, what’s keeping them from all rehearsing where the weather is nice and consistent? Weather in the Midwest in May and June is always going to suck, maybe try to find somewhere near SCV is as it seems to be perpetually awesome, or somewhere else with dryer/more consistent weather

good idea! everyone fly down to AZ or NV end of May - rent out a HS facility for a couple weeks --

All the rehearsal delays kind of makes one wonder if the midwest corps will be playing catch-up, at least early in the season.

tons of rain here too. in fact May was incredibly wet in PA

This year there are full judging panels from day one so corps need to be ready at the start of the season.  A couple of days lost to weather are built in to most corps spring training schedules.  Best I can tell no corps  has been negatively impacted by weather.  This year corps will not be able to hide their weak captions for a couple of weeks. Going to be interesting.

well....no.

SCV didn't have the full closer on the field for a while and the West Coast had full panels for several show. It didn't slow SCV down. It's all in what you present when you present it.
