Glenn426 Posted July 11, 2019 Share Posted July 11, 2019 Michael Townsend running his own IW guard...Being based out of Indianapolis, From what I remeber of the top of my head there are no IW Guards in Indy, Where many SW guards call home and is home for many of the designers.. There will be endless talent to draw from and I could easily see this group pick up right where PRide of Cincinnati left off and begin medaling right away in IW at WGI.. And to answer a prior poster, no effect to Blessed Sacrament, unless members from the Boston area are going to fly to Indy every weekend. I believe there is one or two that did for Pride of Cincinnati last year, but you're right, this won't impact Sac much. I believe Sac has ~3 members in Boston, and a large number of members in Spartans. But speaking of Pride of Cincinnati, there are definitely a few Crusaders who were in the winterguard last year, so I'd imagine it'll be easy to recruit them to Indy which isn't all that far. Yeah that was announced shortly after WGI this year, Surely this plan was in the works to bring out Inspire by then so this was a strategic plan by Pride to take a year off and gather some staff up after losing Townsend to his own project. My huge question is who is staging for Inspire? Will the Great Michael Gaines come over to Inspire or will his loyalties to Pride separate the great duo of Townsend and Gaines in IW.
