Jeffe77 Posted May 17, 2019 Author Share Posted May 17, 2019 My assumption is that insurance liability became a huge issue, maintenance gets costly as the fleet ages and also in California it's one of the most expensive states to register a vehicle, coupled with the age of the buses, makes more sense to get rid of the majority of the fleet and use charter buses. Long gone are the days of riding in crappy busses doing the black & blue tour in Texas with no A/C. All part of MM health and safety as well. One issue that may be part of leasing and using bus company drivers is the drivers time on the road. I am guessing that shorter drives between show sites would help minimize that concern.
