Does anyone know what is the deal with the Hornline's high socks?

Part of the uniform? or enforced High Sock- Tick Bite prevention initiative?

Perhaps it's a way to help them see the marching and visual. Some of them have dark shoes and I would think having the white socks would help them see the marching better.

That could also be an indication that they'll be wearing white pants.

..Or it could be part of the uniform like you were wondering.

For what it's worth, the drumline is not wearing the high socks which makes me think they are doing it to see marching/visual better.

^^

They wear the high white socks so the techs can see their legs better as they march.

To root out phasing issues I would assume. We should have done that in 2000 (well moreso in 1999).
