Wasn't there a good bari solo in 27th Lancer's 1981 Niner-Two?

I don't know, but that contra was ######!

The crazy contra solo was in 1980.  "Open Wide"?

I think that the Bluecoats  01-15 have done a great job with featuring Baritones, particularly in their ballads.

On the other hand, they've had some great, um, less cerebral ones as well.

1:14 into this vid.

Another vote should be cast for BD legend Pooh Bear (RIP) and the gentleman who stood next to him for their bari duet in 81 BD’s Dindie. Pooh Bear also came to KAC in 2007 and helped anchor the bari section.

Definitely a yes on Doug.  He could really lip trill on the Bari, too.  I marched with him in Kilties all-age and Royal-Airs reunion corps.  Great guy.  RIP.

Madison ‘88 Clay Wacholz.

Kilties ‘72, ‘73, ‘74 McCoy’s Reel.  I know Ray “Moon Eyes” Johnson played it in ‘73 and ‘74.
