It will be very hard to top this season - the design staff needs to go back to the drawing board and chart a new direction - more demand more achievement -

Guard needs to be equal or better to Vanguard and Devils

Drum Line needs a total overhaul and needs to contribute.

See ya next year.

Did you not see what they just did? and the margins that they did it in?

Time for the drawing board... but not for reinvention or damage control.

Time to write the next crowd slaying show that everyone else will wish that they had written.

Keep doin' what you're doin' Bloo.

sorry disagree - this year was great - but what pleases the beer and pretzels crowd doesn't win championships --

Bluecoats have got to out Blue Devil the Blue Devils like they did in 16 to win another championship -

Crown or Boston is going to win a championship before Bluecoats will if Bluecoatds doesn't find a way to build a vehicle that doesn't run out of demand/achievement before finals.

That being said, I am very happy for the Bluecoats season and hope they continue to innovate and drive the activity.

Compare the sheets from 2016 to these.

The show scored remarkably high in both demand and achievement... look at the sheets.  Compare the top 2.  Campare with 3-6.  Compare with the defending champs.

This was the very best Bluecoats that there has ever been.  Competition is much more circumstantial than you make it out to be.

Dude, please. Bluecoats are the most innovative corps in dci. They came within a fraction of a tenth of a point to win a gold medal! Keep doing what you are doing, BC.

A little sad.  But not about the joy and feelings they give off and make me feel year after year.   That won’t change. Can’t wait for next year.

You could not be more blatantly correct, cfirwin3. Win it all or not, it is indeed a silly & deluded person who asserts that Bloo didn't have the demand & achievement this year, not to mention the crowd behind them. Bloo's lane is audience-friendly shows, and they've mastered them in the last five years. Tilt, Kinetic Noise, Downside Up, Jagged Line, Session 44, and, of course, the Bluecoats. All masterpieces with the fans (non-Bloo fans) behind them 100%. 

You keep doing you, Bloo. I've enjoyed immensely the past few years, and this year is among my absolute favorites. No one does audience friendly like Bloo, and they OWNED it this summer!
