Popular Post Spatzzz
What??? Corps pull pranks on other corps and steal their stuff???? Say it isn't so!!!!! Next you are going to tell me that there is under age drinking, drug-use and consensual sex happening amongst the MMs!! Did anyone here that is shocked by this actually march? If you did I'm guessing you were the goody two-shoes bando kids? I'm not condoning theft at all but this is more a prank than anything. With that said I'm more shocked that people involved in the activity in anyway find this to be news to them. If I were Crown I'd be WAY more upset at the person that left the hammer in a place where it could be snagged. I will say that the age of social media outrage warriors is getting tiresome. Yes, call attention to items that matter like sexual predators in the activity. Don't get all high and mighty with the outrage over a prank. Geeze... 10

Much more bigger issues to worry about in our activity right now.

There was big news in April that actually WAS despicable, but this dumb kid prank certainly doesn't rise to that level. The BD management is second to none in professionalism, so don't be surprised if the "hammer drops" hard on whoever is determined to be responsible for the lapse in judgement and the resulting embarrassment to the organization. They might even be made to write a 5,000-word essay on the dangers of mascot stealing! 1

trumpetcam
That's funny. Do we really need sledgehammers in drum corps?? I mean, its just brass playing, like blowing air in a piece of metal.. I'm all for great music, but perhaps we take ourselves just a LITTLE BIT too seriously in DCI when we need sledgehammers to carry around to warmups for "shattering records". can you imagine any professional ensemble doing this? lol. I bet a corps like SCV doesn't carry stuff like this around all summer, and they seemed to do pretty well.. Its too bad someone stole the hammer, but the whole premise is just too silly.. To each his own I guess. Edited August 20, 2018 by trumpetcam

Yorkvillain
Bonus points for intentionally blocking the 'BR' in brass.

You mean the ones with the big harps on the back of their jackets, that became hearts on their sleeves, crying about all these social issues that they did themselves, not them.
