2018 Drum Corps Associates World Championships Finals Competition - Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Recommended Posts

Trumpets and mellos introduce the final movement, Orawa. Low brass joins to add pulse to the music. Guard on silks with neon/florescent arrows in rows, pointing in opposite directions.

Silent drill moment leading into the big Orawa statement and the close of the show.

Next on the field is the Govenaires from St. Peter, Minnesota. Their 2018 program is entitled "A Wo/Mans World" and consists of:

It's a Man's World
Run the World (Girls)

Baritone and tuba duet to open Proud Mary, Tina Turner style. John Mayer is miced this year, so we can actually hear him without him having to yell!

Tempo picks up, again like Tina Turner. Trumpet and mellos start the melody before handing it off to the low brass on the opposite side of the field.

Great jam session here before returning to the melody.

Horns form a W on the field as they finish the opener.

Horns turn backfield and perform Kival Sviri (Andy, did you throw that in there? We had that as a warm-up in Glassmen when we marched together).

Guard looking very fierce as they change their costumes. Less pink and more Wonder Woman.
