2018 Drum Corps Associates World Championships Finals Competition - Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Recommended Posts

I said this yesterday and I'll say it again - CV really makes great use of their soloists and small brass ensembles.

Right now, though, CV as a full corps has come to play. It's a large gap between them and Bucs, but nobody told them they can't make it up, it seems.

HUGE sound from the horns on the left, while the drums jam on the right and guard NAILS a unison flag toss center field

Saw the female French horn player a few times and the trumpet player with the slicked back hair at least once

At one time or another, I think I marched with people fitting those descriptions!!!

Wow! Not only do the snares enter the pit and play on the suspended cymbals with the pit players, the pit players jump between instruments as well!

And a HUGE sound from the horns after the percussion feature!

Horn trio on the Dancer in the Dark melody to start the 3rd movement. Bari soloist takes it from there. Wow, what a lush sound he has!
