I’m gonna cry horse hockey here.

stewart told the board, that’s been established in various other postings in many places. The board let a convicted sex offender in the corps. Competing at schools, against his orders. In shows with corps with kids, and didn’t notify those corps. You may have had some kids yourselves but you guys were generally older than most of the circuit. People in power at the Kilties then and now knew. They sent legal threats to those that tried to expose it.

Sorry but but if I am a DCA administrator or director I have serious issues with your corps being a member, and trust me competitive reasons arent a factor. Your leadership allowed, enabled, and tried to hush it up, and all but one are still there. I can only imagine what the Racine press and community would think knowing you let him in the corps

They also lied to the North Central College President and the campus police that Morgan Larson was on campus.   A volunteer spoke up and pointed Larson out to them and he was escorted off campus.

Btw, there has never been another drum corps on that campus in any capacity since.  Not for rehearsal or another show.

When I go to shows I do my best to watch every corps, even in the logistics cluster last Labor Day weekend.

If they come on the field this summer without serious changes, I get up and walk out. This issue is what drove stewart off of Pioneers board.

If DCA reinstates them, I will get a refund for my plane ticket to State College, Pennsylvania that I’ve already purchased, I’ll give my show tickets away, and I’ll never attend another DCA championships.

They aren’t much good at drum corps but they’ve perfected the blame game.

All their failures are always someone else’s fault.  I expect this will continue if DCA reinstates them.  Which would be beyond belief after this damning article in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

I am really intrigued by their feigning ignorance, however.  That is beyond belief.

It might be possible for some members not to have known in period. Some people march, play, they're there to do the gig and really don't socialize as much as others. BUT-- when someone like me knew something was up for at least 5 years involving someone on board on the Megan's Law list, it's difficult to fathom. Responses here on DCP were very evasive when the subject was broached. Never one from anyone with the corps that clearly and plainly said " there is no one like that in the corps, period" that I can recall. Why? Well, if there were, there's something for Law Enforcement or a plaintiff to feast on if something did go wrong.

Responses were more "shut up, go away"...."How dare you say anything so mean?"... "Out to get us"....and the infamous one about how sometimes, people get on the list for things like public urination. Needed Culture change... yes.

No they don’t get it. It’s been a culture since they came back

I think it's the positive side in me hoping there's an epiphany there, not a Blenski-like "we'll change because people have their pitchforks and torches at the door so we have to."

Yes, and why didn't any of them say, "FOR GOD'S SAKE, NO!!!!!!! ARE YOU *BLEEP* NUTS!!!!!?" Maybe some of them did. I don't know. If they bought some line that he'd behave and there would be no problems, they would have been gullible and horribly naïve. And I'm not even that bad.

Look, Larson may never walk alone, but the Kilties are one of many places he shouldn't have been walking into. Same with the Cavies' SoundSport team. Another place heads should be rolling.

I'm wondering if I need to write a letter, take some kind of action myself. And I am not the kind to normally do that....
