KVG_DC
Riffing off another thread where we got talking about Don Ellis. Pick charts written in weird time signatures.

What ideas, concepts, themes, etc. would you put into a show about time? Specifically, a show entitled, "The Illusion of Time." Wondering if there are any things, other than what I have already thought, to bring to the table when our staff sits down near the end of the month to develop our show direction for the Fall. go to the WGI vids on you tube..there are countless "Time" shows" over the years, props, music, costuming..
chris ncsu
Always liked Spirit’s time show. What was it, 2003?
johnpendell
I think as a preshow, or a quieter opener a la scv 16 or bk 15 for example, a good piece would be Manny's Gym by John Adams. Lots of meter changes and the whole piece sorta feels suspended in time. Edited January 11, 2019 by johnpendell
