It's sad, but it's not at all surprising and as I've said before, it's absolutely necessary if that corps is ever going to set foot on a marching field in DCI ever again.

That about sums it up.

Despite my personal battles w/ Pioneer in my marching days, and those were some fierce battles...i'm not gonna dance on their grave, unlike some here. I hope they can fix their issues, financially and administratively and in the leadership to comeback to OC and dominate like they did in the mid-90's.

I can't celebrate the demise of a corps... it's a sad day, in terms of the activity losing a corps, even though I agree with the DCI decision.

But until one family is completely out of the picture at Pioneer... 100 percent, no "shadow administration" or anything... that corps has a rough road ahead. If they have any road at all.

i don't want the corps to die. I want it to thrive with leadership that has a clue.

Seems like, if they took that attitude last August and made real, substantial changes, they would not be in this position.

The organization has been an irresponsible slushy fund for the Blenski klan for decades, and an inappropriate playground for others — plus an unsafe and unsuccessful experience for its members far too often

 Let it die!

This at least seems marginally more professional than the drivel that was their response to the Inquirer article last August.

And actually addresses what happened instead of dancing around things like Pioneer website updates
