Tupac 79
Does anybody remember what years Rita Moreno did the PBS broadcast?
bass5 140
I think it was 1980 because I remember her interviewing Scouts DM Daniel S. "Boomer" Veerhusen.
Northern Thunder 977
Yes...definitely 1980: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7GttwLodlE
Tupac 79
Thank you. For some reason I thought she was there in 75 too.

I didn't catch the names of the two broadcasters but they're at the end of the retreat ceremony.
Fran Haring 7,760
Jess Cain and Tim Moxley, according to the crawl at the end of the show. In 1976, I think it was Gene Rayburn and his wife hosting from Philly. The PA announcer in 1975 was Dominic Bianculli from New England. (As you can tell from his accent. LOL.) He was the longtime voice of the CYO Nationals show in Boston. Edited January 28, 2019 by Fran Haring
boxingfred 1,160
I just remember Rita Moreno brought her cute daughter. I spent the whole time trying to flirt with her. She was about my age maybe a little older.
ThirdValvesAreForWimps 1,696
Rita Moreno said we were her favorite.

If I remember from my CYO circuit days, Dominic Bianculli had a Boston so thick, it made the rest of Massachusetts sound like we were from New York!
