Yes, mobsters tended to have nicknames(some were funny, others a little more gruesome.. haha ) given to them. A few others  :

Donald " The Wizard of Odds " Angelini. Chicago gambling operations mobster.

Thomas " Tommy Toupee " Bilotti

 James " Whitey " Bulger

  George "Georgie Neck " Zappola

Israel " Ice Pick Willie " Alderman

  Al " Scarface " Capone

Francis " Cadillac Frank " Salemme

  James " Buddy "McLean

  Benjamin " Bugsy " Siegel

.................... now back on track to nicknames of marchers, not mobsters,  lol....:

If you called either of those 2 by their nickname to their face, tho, you'd be sleeping with the fishes fast.

Capone preferred Snorky (swanky)... from his pals...

Off topic but Philly had Chicken Man Testa. Springsteen’s Atlantic City refers to him at the beginning. (Blew up the chicken man late last night). I’ll say, cops heard it blocks away

Was that Tommy?

Brenda has told me the story about him nearly falling out of the bus. Scary stuff.

Jim mentioned Terry earlier in some thread- Terry yanked him in and saved hm.

yeah that one may need stay off of the boards LOL

Well, there is one thing I should say so it never happens again... Don't press hard against bus windows, lean on them, exert pressure with any parts of your body. Seriously. They're designed to hinge out for escape purposes.

Yeah 1974 or 75 we had one didn’t hinge too well. Guys wrestling on the back bench and one got pushed into the window hard with his butt. Window splintered as it bowed out. Then we hit a bump entering NY state and the glass on the outside of the glass/plastic/glass sandwich stayed at the border.
