The Texas Triangle

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about doing the Texas Triangle this year.  Flying into one location (DFW) and being able to fly out of the same location with five days of Drum Corps is to good to pass up.

Any advise from the crew?

Thursday - Denton (13 Corps)

Friday - Katy (8 Corps)

Saturday - San Antonio (23 Corps)

Monday - Mesquite (11 Corps)

Yes.

- Prepare yourself for some stifling heat and ungodly traffic.

- Any restaurant with the name "Papa" in it is highly recommended. Pappasito's, Pappadeaux's. Papa Bros. Steaks.

- Give all my exes who live in Texas my best middle finger.

Sounds like a great trip. Enjoy.

Thinking about doing the same, except drive everywhere. Still not sure about the Katy show though.... if you go to that one get their as SOON as possible. If you don't you will run the risk of missing the first couple of performances. Unfortunately the parking situation there is not great and if you can take seat cushions in the stadium, do it.

I live in DFW, so I'll be planning on going to Denton and Mesquite. I may just make the trip down to San Antonio too. Hope you enjoy your trip to Texas!

The most important good news is that there is a Buccee’s on every leg of your trip.

Did Katy and San Antonio last year, flying into Houston, driving to SA and back. Katy show was one of my least favorite all year. Hot, not great seating. I love a good show outdoors. I love even more being comfortable and cool.

Time to consider A Town.
