Unfortunately may corps will just put dumb looking plastic wraps on and cover up the beautiful finishes.

I think most drumlines will be finished 

about the same time as the rest of their corps . 😎

I honestly don't see a difference. It is much more cost efficient.

The Bridgemen in 79 probably had their seamstress make theirs.

I used to work for a custom drum builder (Ward Wilson of Wilson Customs) and covering drums was a pain. Granted, covering is far more simple than actual finish (and MUCH safer health wise,) but it still takes time. I kinda dig on the new covers. I wish we had them back in the mid/late 80's and early 90's.
