She didn’t care.  The woman to her left had purchased the seat she was in but she wasn’t moving, come hell or high waters.

I would have handled it much differently than she did.  I would have done what I do at shows.  I would have gotten an usher and had them remove her.   I don’t argue with these people any more.

But...did anyone scream "We're always ready!!"?

I'm still gonna try to sucker Britt into doing it in Atlanta. I'll just call it her initiation and then sit back and watch the looks. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Aren't all theatres doing specific seats now?

Fathom Events prefers numbered seats and customer selection of seats, but not all theaters can accommodate assigned or preselected seating. I know with the Met Live in HD, independent cinemas that do not offer this option have a difficult time with Fathom than larger chains that do not offer the option.

I see a new trend developing. Corps Rage!

I'm telling you, this could tie into our game where we pick a random member of the crowd as tribute and they have to go on the field and dodge drill. I miss field judges already and it's only day 2 of the season.

i really dislike boston's brass book this year. i think it's too simple for them.  just lots of loud 135 stuff.  give them more!

I think the simplicity of it lends to the cheese I was referring to in the Boston thread. It's pleasant to listen to but not really interesting

Hmmm.  I beginning to think that I missed something.  I really felt like the BAC design was a bit... on the nose. Much like some recent theatrical Crown shows.  And I felt like Crown broke out of the bubble and went a little more figurative... more thoughtful and mature.  More like a championship show of that kind.

I'll have to see these two again soon.

I agree with you

My wife and I went to the AMC Theater in Paramus ,N.J.

1.When we got there, the only way to buy tickets was with  automated kiosks.

It wasn't a problem for us.But some people were having problems figuring out how to use them.

Several of the kiosks said they took cash or credit.

But none of them took cash.

There wasn't anyone around ,anywhere ,to ask for help .

Unlike last year, they did require  you to select seats.

2..Last year ,at at the same theater , they forgot to turn on the BLL broadcast.

I told a Manager about it.By the time they got the broadcast on,we had missed most of the

first corps.

Last night  the screen was still dark at 8:25.

I figured, after what happened last year,I'd tell a Manager about the live broadcast at 8:30.

First off, good luck finding a Manager.

Finally, one of the ticket takers got on a walkie/talkie.

After some back and forth discussion, somebody was able to get

the broadcast on.

It came on,just in time to catch Phantom.

3.They were able to get the broadcast on.

But,they left the houselights on for the whole show.

Our ticket stubs had a request to do an on line survey.

I don't think AMC will be thrilled with our responses.

They were still showing those darn TV commercials when the first Corps should have stepped off.  I was getting a bit worried when they finally started the broadcast.  But they started at the start, so we didn't miss anything, but I think we were about 6-8 minutes behind. I remember seeing a CorpsScores tweet about missing the last two scores while we were still waiting on them in the theater.

i wonder if some theater managers have found if they buffer the stream for a fewer minutes, they have fewer outages during live events. IDK.

Compared to last year, at this same event:

Bluecoats +0.85

Carolina Crown +0.9

Boston Crusaders +2.75

Cadets (not at this event last year)

Blue Stars +3.45

Phantom Regiment -0.75

I was wondering about these stats

The guy on Jim’s right who was about four clicks started off with nachos.  Horrible odor.

Feel for you, had a similar bad experience at a live show in Lynn, MA. 'cept it was hot dogs with everything on them. An hour into the show there was as much tooting in the bleachers as on the field.
