It took moving closer to the equator, referred to as a high desert region, and tons of sunny days to learn I have rosacea. Guess all those years at Wollaston and Nantasket Beach etc., seeing how many times a Summer I could look like a lobster has come back to bite me out here. I don't always use the special facial wash, but I use the gel and medication periodically. With all the softball I play, it's sun block and wearing a boony hat most times. Just not when playing games. We just didn't want to live an area where you felt like a dish rag during the warmer seasons.
