That solo was great...saw it live a times. Note that due to the Cadence caption, the corps had to march through the 7/8 in "Unsquare Dance" as though it was 4/4 keeping the tempo consistent throughout.

Was Jim marching with the Kilties (VFW winners) in 69?

No.  His dad marched in a few senior corps and he'd go to AL and VFW every year as a fan and Jim was the only kid interested so he went with his Dad.  Jim was born into drum corps.  He’d go to shows in Ohio as a little tyke and his dad was drum major.  He remembers all kinds of stuff from those trips with his dad.

Ah ok. I went with a carload of kids from my GSC corps. The DM was old enough to drive, and she had access to a car, so about 5 or 6 of us went to Philly from North Jersey. I was not yet 16.

They’re looking very energetic and confident. Good strong sound from that brassline . Battery killed it.

Major chills every time seeing Conquest live.  Last night was no exception. Thanks everyone for posting about it.

I think the historical rilvary and association between Cadets and BAC is something always appreciated and will always be thankful for. Just like with sports, Boston fans can be annoying at times with their passion but they  understand talent and history, recognize greatness and always show their appreciation. Cadets will always find a receptive crowd these days at a Boston show.
