Reed
Score should be more like a 77 instead of 67...

DCIdad
So do we know that the 67.95 is incorrect?
jaimev74
Yeah it was a misprint.
DrumManTx
If my math is correct Mandarins should have a 75.5 and PC a 66.95.
pcloaninger17
As far as I’m aware, the misprint was in visual scores. I think whoever posted the recap divided the combined visual score by 3 instead of 2, and that’s where the lowered score came from. I think Mandarins actually scored a 75.7, while Pacific Crest has a 63.95. posted from the DrumScorps app
Rudy18
Turns out there’s actually just a miss count. The whole visual caption is scored wrong. 15.15 total for the whole caption when each individual sub caption scored 15.1, 15.3, and 15.0 respectively (Mandarins). DCI averaged the visual scores instead of adding them together for some reason. Scored a 75.5 total tonight Edited July 6, 2019 by Rudy18
GetOFFmyDot
A lot of Mandarin fans were kinda in a state of bewilderment and confusion! Whew.
brassboy
Yeah, somehow they managed to completely leave out the Visual Performance score initially. So they added the Visual Analysis and Color Guard scores but still divided by 2. That means rather than a possible 60 points being divided by 2 it was a possible 40 points being divided by 2. The crowd was stunned when they announced the 67. When everyone was leaving, it was like walking in slow motion. Glad it was just a tabulation error.
