Yes, they still get paid by DCI,, but the big loss (for some) is in lost souvie sales. Some corps make more at a show on their souvies than the appearance fee. Cadevilina Crown Posted July 7, 2019 Share Posted July 7, 2019 I'm willing to bet that in future, DCI will forgo a competition in Orlando in favor of perhaps allowing the southeast-traveling corps to do parades and exhibitions in and around Walt Disney World during that weekend. SOA hosts a show in Valdosta, GA (near the Florida-Georgia border) now anyways, so it's not like there's absolutely no way northern/central Floridians can go to a show. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
