Brian Tuma
Fantastic show lineup. You might be early but it gives us time to talk about the Belleville Black Knights. They had the best uniform bitd.

I lived in Belleville when I was stationed at Scott AFB in the late 90s. One day I was in library looking for something in a late 1950s (microfiche) newspaper, & there was a review of the previous nights Drum Corps Contest. There were 10 Corps. All from within a 30 mile radius, and 3 were all-girl. Granted, most of these Corps were in the 50-member range. But still kind of cool. TheAngryBavarian
My home show, so I'll give some info for people coming in. *Parking is decent, but if it fills then it's a long walk from anything else. The school's in the middle of a cornfield. *Belleville is a decent sized town, plenty of food options in the area. *Stadium faces SW, sunset's usually about 8:10 this time of year. Lots of good corps, and the St. Louis area is passionate about their drum corps, especially when local kids are in them. For example, Phantom Regiment has several (or at least 1) member from O'Fallon, only about 20 minutes away. I know Cavaliers and Bluecoats? have some as well. O'Fallon has two former students in the Blue Stars, two former students in Phantom and the trumpet soloist in Crown is from there (and yeah, I know Crown is not at the show) ... as well as several age-outs .... so it should be a great crowd (other area schools have marchers as well).
