DCIat14
If one were to use the two marched shows from tonight plus the last marched show for the other corps, the order would be as follows: 1-3: Bluecoats (87.5), SCV (87.2), BD (86.45) 4-6: Crown (86.4), BAC (85.55), Cavies (83.55) 7-9: Bl Stars (81.15), BK (80.20), Cadets (79.8) 10-12: Mandr (79.45), PR (78.85), Xmen (78.6) 13-14: Spirit of Atl (77.4), Colts (75.5) 15-17: Academy (74.6), Madison (73.05), Pacific Crest (71.9) 18-20: Troopers (70.3), Music City (70), Surf (66.65) 21-22: Genesis (64.7), Cascades (60.950)

Perhaps use an average of score prior to DATR and score after? Edited July 14, 2019 by ThePlanets

I think all of the DATR people ended up in the same grouping they would've been either way. Since the order is randomized within the groups of 3 I think everyone turned out okay. soccerguy315
yea if it's random in groups of 3 then it looks like we dodged a bullet as far as "seeding" goes and DATR don't lose out on their grouping of 3. They might be the 3rd corps instead of the 1st in their group, but if is a random draw in the grouping then it doesn't matter.
KVG_DC
Had Crown scored a bit higher and BD drawn the 6th spot in the second grouping of three, the conversation would be different. But even then I bet BD would have no problem contending for the win. As mentioned, there’s enough ceiling space in the scores at this point they don’t have to squeeze the numbers too much
wesleyrp
Truthfully the lack of a show last night hurt the Crossmen more than anyone. Crossmen were within 1.2 of Cadets in Casper. Because of no Denver show, the Phantom and Mandarins scores in DeKalb would slide them (X-men) into the 12 spot with a 10-12 draw. Now- one could argue that even if closer to Cadets than 12th the Crossmen were still likely to be seeded 10 when the dust settled but we just don’t know. Plus the argument of using a 5 judge panel to determine the performance draw of a major Regional like San Antonio for Cadets and Crossmen is also a huge concern.... Lots to digest, does Dan Acheson choose to take the Regional scores from last night against the latest scores of corps rained out, or perhaps take the next score for every corps to be the draw score- don’t know, in any way there’s no great answer! The Crossmen are having a terrific year & frankly, the cream eventually rises to the top
