Yeah, as impressive as that might have been when cleaned, they just weren't getting it cleaned at all.
Poppycock
Regiment is the most improved corps to date. Impressive!

One would think that if there's too much of this "thunderous goo," staffs would take steps to reduce that. Why don't they? Something in the brains of designers and judges is broken? Seriously, has anyone ever heard a judge or designer admit that what we all hear actually exists? It's just bizarre.

I've always said this: BITD when Drum Corps bass was just the contras on the field, folks were used to hearing movies in barely Hi-Fi and TV in No-FI. These days, it's 7.1 and even 7.2 Surround Sound. People want subwoofers at the movies, watching TV, listening to music. To "modern" ears, contra-only Drum Corps sounds anemic. Just my $0.02. 1

Herk
This is my first look at PR this year. I like it. The story is easily understood, thanks to the guard work. I know nothing of judging and how they come up with scores, but this is a GOOD show!
Terri Schehr
This is not the same Corps I saw in Detroit. Bravo!
Cadevilina Crown
Amazing that Phantom has been considered "much improved" by many and is winning over the crowd, yet they are projected to place 12th. TWELFTH.

As does jamming the dang drums in the middle of it.
Candid Insight
Phantom is not giving up their spot in Finals without a fight - and there is a lot of fight being shown in this performance. They have dramatically improved and I have a feeling it is about to start paying off. (When I saw them on opening night they were quite weak - lots of hard work is evident in today's performance.) It is not one of my favorite shows, but you have to give them credit for selling it.
