ballad gets better every time i hear it. again, anybody who's dabbled with arranging understands just how hard it is to take gabrie's oboe and flesh it out for a large ensemble. 

not sure why the visual stuff is so far away from the hornline, though.

Haven’t seen BAC this season (super excited to finally see them tonight). They must be pretty spectacular to be beating this Crown show.

SOA, take note.  It's not the stage, its the height.  Crown can put the full brass behind it to use that part of the field to great effect.  I know they're not using it like a 'club stage' with a backstage but lowering the city scape to the field and having it less high up in the back would work  so much better I think.

The staging seems wrong.  The music is beautiful.

Yes!  It's a super delicate piece and virtually chamber music in its simplicity.  Getting it to work for large ensemble like this is fantastic.
