It is interesting that as the San Antonio Regional is dissected by the DCP brain trust, little is being said about BAC now being only .35 behind Crown.  Just two days ago some folks were still saying that Crown was only one point behind SCV and that could easily be made up to medal..  Now comes the Boston Crusaders....now what?  A blind dog with a note in its mouth can see that BAC is moving.  Just like 2018.  Just like 2017.  And, even in 2016, an otherwise tough year, they went from 14th in Allentown to 12th in Semis six days later.  History shows that Boston does, in fact, surge during the last weeks of the season.  Call institutional groupthink, or bunker mentality, or inspiration from what is arguably THE most supportive alumni network anywhere in DCI, but Boston is able to draw strength during the final part of the season.

QueenAnne may not like it, but BAC has not landed in it's final competitive spot yet.  Eat'em Up, Boston!  Keep that accelerator right to the floor guys!

I've pointed out that Crown should be looking not at SCV but BAC.  Still not convinced that BAC has the MUSIC scores to pull it off, but there is some hope.

That was unexpected: After the show, The Wife commented of the top 6 Corps, her favorites were Carolina Crown (duh!) and ... wait for it .... Blue Devils.

Blue Devils????  BLUE DEVILS???

1-800-DIVORCE can expect a call shortly.

j/k of course.

This one here and I disagree about drum corps all the time.

I agree. SCV feels like someone could catch them, but when you look at the recaps, it's hard to see who could do it. A corps that could plausibly win Sanford & Ott is going to be hard to keep out of the medals.

The sheer amount of talent at SCV in all areas will make it very hard for anyone to overcome them or even keep up.

Cavies started at 8 snares and lost or pretoir and just opted to stay at 7.

I think 1994 is the last time Cavies had 7 man snare line

And your championship level design credentials are what exactly? Please list the years you have put a gold medal winning design on the stage in DCI or WGI. We will all wait.

Not trying to be argumentative but people with zero cred making blanket statements like this is pretty dumb.

In no other field are fans expected to say, "The experts have spoken and therefore I must keep my mouth shut."

For members of this drum corps, as corny as it may sound to some, being a "Boston Crusader" is a thing. Spending an evening in the Most Precious Blood Church in Hyde Park is a thing.  And having 80 years of alumni who have their back without reservation is a thing.

QueenAnne may not like it, but BAC quite likely  has not yet landed in its final competitive spot yet.  Eat'em Up, Boston!  Keep that accelerator right to the floor guys!

But we always have someone to remind us how awesome BAC is and how much better they will be and how they are really better than Crown ... even tho they have lost every H2H since CrownBeat so seems to me the trend line is going the opposite way. And I believe .. Crown came out ahead in 2016, 2017, and 2018. There is this perverse obsession with Crown from BAC .. I guess since they stole all their visual/CG staff.

You don't think privately the staff that stayed with Crown, there's a sense of satisfaction beating BAC and seeing them not run off with multiple championships?

Presumably the other members of the "brain trust" deliberately left this point for you to make.
