xandandl
Word has reached me that Kelly Wolner, Cadets mellophone alum, former drill tech for Cadets and Magic of Orlando among others, passed away this morning. I remember her as the energetic young lady who travelled to Garfield from Rome, NY who became a friend to all, a leader to many, and always an example of what a true Cadet and mature adult is. She was recently feted by Carolina Crown who are taught by so many faculty who marched with Kelly and her sisters. To Mary, Lynn, Shoie (Charlene) and brother-in-law percussion judge Dave McCarthy, to the whole family my deep condolences and prayers, for she was always a person of profound faith even when she struggled with the cancer. I've lost a friend and Drum Corps has lost one of its best. May she rest in peace. Details pending.
