I know it is statistically possible, but in every single regional this year, the Mandarins have won the toss for being the last corps to perform in the 10-12 group.  That's #### lucky.

They've gone on last in this group every show and the Crossmen and Phantom have flip flopped.

Edited to add:  I calculated the odds of winning a three-way draw three times and it's 3.7%.  Yes, Mandarins are pretty lucky.  Has this happened in any other three-some where the same corps one the "toss" three times?

I’m pretty sure the split up was made at the start of the season for housing and logistics purposes. .  Not sure how they determine the split though.

Some of it has to do with who goeswhere afterwards, and a few Corps I think have ashow up north Friday

I think they settle on housing and daily schedule way in advance (there's no way to know what the competitive groupings are going to be).  Just so happens that the fairly static top 3 are all on one night.

Why not move SCV so all four blue corps can play together?  That would be really cool in an OCD kinda way...

Many corps will shoot for Buffalo, NY on Sunday as well... followed by Akron, OH and then on to Indy.

A LOT of driving in a short few days.

After intermission on Friday night, only one group out of 5 is not 'Blue'...

Will make for a unusual experience in the delivery of scores.
