It pains me to say it, but I actually agree with the judges on the placement of the top 3 corps. Coats have the most competent design, Devils do some good stuff but the show design loses clarity as it goes on, and while Vanguard performs well, the show seems maxed out and like they’re just adding generic visual elements to try to keep up.

We must be watching different shows. They march plenty.

The vis prof and VA judges don't seem to agree with you.

Looked about same amount of non marching as previous shows.

Weird. Why’d the scores change that much then?

I got to hear them in Berlin in June.  I could not believe it.  And that hall is extraordinary!  It was one of the musical highlights of my life.

I'm jealous. I want to take a trip to Europe and go see all of the top European orchestras.

I’m as big a Coats fan as there is, but come on. BD is going to fix their issues. BD will win it.

BD doesn't really have issues.  That's why they have been winning.

But so it goes with their competition.

There is only nitpicking left... and the point value that nitpicking accrues is negligible, for the most part.

Bluecoats show has it all. BD will have to execute the heck out of the show musically.  I just don’t think BD has it this year to do it musically. For late in the year, BD still sounds a little rough around the edges.

Because this entire judging system is based on "opinion".   Who wins finals will depend on the finals judging slate and only the finals judging slate.

Biggest story of the night is .250 difference in GE between Bluecoats and BD.

I’d say BD’s chances of catching the Bluecoats in Indy is slim to none.  Bluecoats will sail right through to next Saturday night.

It was .3 last Sunday and Devils won.
