Tenth here tenth there is nothing but false hopes for the fans to haggle about. Get the placements correct and if that happens Cavaliers will be in front of the Crownies

Given the road to perdition that Crown has traversed this season, hell, just being within a comma or coordinating conjunction, of a sentence that just mentions 3rd place @A-town, almost qualifies as a “W.”

I got to hear them in Berlin in June.  I could not believe it.  And that hall is extraordinary!  It was one of the musical highlights of my life.

And, if you can't get to Berlin, a subscription to their Digital Concert Hall is a slice of musical heaven.

The grey pajamas are just awful.

This has been a head scratcher all season. So, I imagine I'm at the table with the really talented people at SCV designing the show in the winter. The costume designer (let's pretend his name is Ralph) is now up to reveal sketches of the proposed look for the winds and percussion. The covered drawing is placed on a large easel at the front of the room. The covering is lifted. I immediately say, "Ralph, wrong sketch. That's the one you're doing for the off Broadway low budget revival of Godspell." Ralph states, "No. This is what I am proposing. I know its different but I think it speaks well to the vibe we want create on the field this summer." Me or someone else in the room, "Our show is about counterculture. The emotions connected with such. I really appreciate your thinking outside of the box on this one, but I am not sure I am seeing our theme here. And besides, we all know from decades of collective experience, grey and light pink really do not work well outside on a green football field at any distance, much less from the press box."

Though the costume would have more impact inside and up close, maybe for indoor guard or winds, or even for "Godspell" or "Hair" or whatever, it still would be bland and unflattering.

That screamer hasn't nailed that for the past three broadcasts... I feel bad, especially because immediately preceding that he lays down some pretty impressive stuff.

Yep, squeaky chipmunk has lost his mojo. It doesn’t add to the moment. Best cut it.

I didn't see anyone mention the real travesty at the Allentown show this year - no sno-cones/shaved ice! Where else can you get one that's larger than your head now?

Were not the Sunnyvale Sparks (whose name was changed by G. Royer into SCV) a volunteer F.D. organization first?  Certainly seem to be returning to their roots the number of times those mms slide down those fire house poles. (Only you dirty minded thought those poles were from some speak easy dance joint.)

Maybe Reddit fluffs and DCP re-posts touched that SCV design team. Certainly the center tarp was re-situated.

Restarted stream to miss half of SCV and everyone has mic'd up hornlines so you can't hear anything .......

And for FLO, the absolute worst transmission of the season. Not liking any of this.

My Flo might have had a few very minor glitches but nothing like you're describing.  The problem could not have been on Flo's side.

To be clear:  Not blaming you or your gear either.  That transmission has to go a long way on probably some very bad wires before it gets to your house.

Just to be clear on my end, I do not consider myself a total novice on computers as I download terabytes of files each month often going over my Comcast allotment and I'm not going to rehash the FLO Su### Thread.

I Had to work last night 16 hours, so I was forced to use my computer with their modem and internet access to watch East Coast Classic Day 1. My work is a very large corporation with guessing 100 + smaller businesses all connected through the corporate network so they do have ample bandwith.

Just to verify my speed, I ran a speed test and here are my results from speedtest.net

For the best viewing experience, please use the latest version of the following web browsers:
•Google Chrome (Recommended)
•Mozilla FireFox
•Safari
•Microsoft Edge

Recommended Internet Speed You need a minimum download speed of 3 Megabits per second to watch a single video stream in clear, standard definition.
The best Internet speed for HD streaming is 5Mbps, and if you go all the way up to 4K streaming, or ultra HD, your bandwidth should start at 25Mbps.

The live stream player isn’t loading, what could be the problem?
Clear the cache in your web browser.

he player loads but the video is stuttering or choppy, what could be the problem?

Video clips will play better with faster Internet connections. Users with a high-speed connection (DSL or cable) should experience high-quality video. Users with a dial-up modems may experience longer loading times while the video buffers before playing, and may experience buffering as the video play

NOTE! I started the stream with Firefox and had to switch over to Chrome because Firefox was buffering.

What is The Best DSL speed
Reference: www.review10best.com/uk/top10/dsl-modem.html

While it may not be essential for casual web browsing and using word documents, it’s essential to get a DSL modem  with fast speed settings if you play video games, stream movies, or download. The top downstream speed of a DSL modem is typically around 15Mbps, with the upstream speed clocking a maximum of 1Mbps.

So in summary, I missed Genesis and Music City installing Chrome and restarting stream. Seemed to play fine up to Blue Stars. From Blue Devils on it was like listening to double audio tracks at the same time. Sent and email to FLO and got the polite putoff response: "we're reviewing the situation".

So, we'll see how tonight goes because I'm working again and have the same setup. I will just have to be content reviewing the recaps from last night.

Hoping for better results.

Just got home to Brooklyn from Allentown. Sat 13 rows up in sec k.

my2cents:

BK - Loved the musical content of their show (especially the battery). Visual impacts come far too late into the show to compliment some of the great musical moments scattered throughout the show. Although it's pretty emotionally heavy, I like the voice narrative (maybe it's just his voice). I wish it had more impact. I still think the whole show is very cinematic and poetic.

BS - It looked like a Disneyland parade when they came on the field. To me the show felt sloppy. Drill looks pretty hard though. It felt so spread out that I missed some moments/details. Mt Everest on the side is too far over. Really like the tents that pop up. It's framed the show nicely.

BD - Been following this show since the beginning and I think it's grown to such a sophisticated beast. Watching it live is everything! So many cool moments. It needs a new ending to bookend the beginning. The start has such a mystery with the masks, the light turning on and the surge of bodies encompassing the "stage". The ghost light serves a purpose when the theater is not in use but once humans returns, the ghost light goes away. Loved the show but it was missing something tonight. It's a show that if it's in the pocket, it's untouchable.

SCV - drumline (period). Powerful hornline too much syn. Babylon part 2 with a theme of rebellion. Props and tarps are so oversaturated, I had no idea where to look. It also felt like most of the action was happening below the front hash mark. Visually it just needed to breathe a little bit.

BC - FUN show. Confident! You can tell they really wanted it tonight. Definitely a crowd pleaser. I like the 2nd half better. The beginning felt like a cluster of moments that I couldn't appreciate because it came and left right away until it got into Eleanor Rigby. I tarp dots on the perimeter don't serve much of a purpose. I like this version of the ending the best.

BD vs BC all the way to the finish line.

Blue Stars live the stuff on the scaffold is hard to read. off on the side and the color scheme makes it hard to read, and i was on the 50

Maybe, but I think, over the past 11 seasons, I can count the corps the Blues Stars have beaten during the season that beat the Blue Stars at finals on one hand. The Stars know how to grow a show so that it peaks at finals.

You can't say stuff like that here. Blue stars are the corps that has to drop every year!

I've started using the FloSports app on FireTV.  Running Comcast Internet -- 150 Mbps, but my router only gives me around 90.  Other than the multi cam fail we all experienced last night, it's been pretty decent -- from a "I have continuous picture and sound" standpoint.

i used to view via a browser and did all the tricks to keep things going with moderate success. So far, the Flo app has been set and forget. (Knock wood)
