Danzon #2. Some of the guard members pull a red fabric around horn players as they dance around them. The fabric then becomes silks they can use.

By the way, the piano player in the front ensemble is nails.

And now the guard is all on rifle. A very demanding show for a corps of this size and age level.

Ripple rifle toss caught perfectly down the line, including an extra high toss on the end to finish the song.

Guard now on flags with rose printed silks, matching the backdrops on the field.

That entire song was just the piano player and mellophone soloist with a little front ensemble accompaniment. That’s a lot of exposure for these kids and they handled it brilliantly.

The rest of the brass and percussion come back in for Libertango. Our front ensemble vocalist is featured during this song, trading off the melody with the horns.

One of the horn players has performed from the pit for the whole show. They had all the horns on the field when I last saw them a week ago, so she may be hurt.

Tempo picks up and the key modulates as we move into the close of the show. Great job, Les Stentors!
