I agree with you. I was pleasantly surprised by all three of them, and can only imagine what a full spring training and tour would do for all of them. Unfortunately, I don't think that'll ever be in the cards for the Spartans, and years back I remember someone telling me they enjoyed the smaller Open Class tour and didn't really have a desire to do so. Also, they have a very heavy New England membership base (unless things have changed), and many schools up here are in session until late June, sometimes even towards the very end of June if they have to make up snow days. Their move-ins were June 21st for three weeks, followed by nearly a full week off in July, then rejoining in mid-July to rehearse and depart for tour. For them to be performing at this level with that late of a start is a huge accomplishment. Edited August 6, 2019 by Musicman1084

Nuts4DC
I wonder how much of an impact Spartans had with SCVC past Director Steve Barnhill since he joined them as a consultant?

Musicman1084
I completely missed the announcement as I thought we were wrapped up after the Spartans. Who is the group on the field right now? Sound sport unit?
Jake W.
Still struck over the quality of Spartans design & performance. Just insane that this is the same Spartans I have in my memory from the last few years. If I were a betting man (and I absolutely am), I'd put Spartans in first by a solid 2-2.5 points. Gold in a CLEAR second. Legends in a clear third, I imagine 1-2 points behind Gold. Giant break down to Southwind, who is a clear fourth. In my mind, that spread between Legends & Southwind should be around 3 points. I'd call 7R a pretty safe 5th, not too terribly far beyond Southwind. 6, 7, & 8 were the definition of a toss up. I'd probably pin Guardians to 8th if I had to. Don't ask me to decide between LAStars & RCR. Golden Empire, I imagine, is a solid 9th, at least a point behind 8th.
