Bloo even did a video on their in-ear monitors back in 2017, talking about how they enabled the hornline to play together despite being spread out all over the field.

We’ve known about the tempo earpieces for a while now.

But the ear pieces are for listening to a spread ensemble ... they are not for used to broadcast a metronome.

Next thing you know some one will bring a device that interferes with a show electronically.

Show terrorists if you like.

Not to my knowledge. Maybe someone with a current rules book can say for sure?

Next you're going to tell me that no corps has used taped synth patches of their soloists rather than playing 100% live ...

Wouldn’t be too hard. I looked in the settings on my phone for each of the top corps at Mesquite. Each one had its own WiFi network for their show. For example “Cavalier Audio” showed as an available WiFi network when they took the field.

I have noticed the same. It could be done multiple ways to disrupt the sound.
