We'll never know, but I believe this show could compete with the Old Firm of BDB and SCVC quite well.  Stylistically it compares well to SCVC's show when they did the white stages.

Bragging rights moment: I predicted after East Coast Classic in June that Spartans would be the Open Class champions, and  after seeing Legends in New Hampshire in July, they would be 2nd. I was told

He shouldn't have asked that question, because, as I said in the other forum, he's not a reporter. (And if he were, he should be asking much tougher questions of other people in DCI than the Spartans drum major.)

And I firmly believe that this show was good enough to beat one or both of Vanguard Cadets and Blue Devils B. (Also that Legends and Gold would have been much tighter with those corps than in any previous year.)

That said, given that SCVC's director became a consultant for Spartans, there is a case to be made that SCVC and/or BDB not attending championships this year made it possible for Spartans to win.
