So told the boss I'm working from home today.

He asks whats up. I said 2 things chief.

Its my Birthday but most importantly I have some shows to watch. He says really what do you mean and I told him Drum Corps. Turns out he marched Glassmen. Been working with him for a few months so not much time to get ,,,, to know each other.

Funny he told me to enjoy and asked me how I was watching the shows. I told him about flo marching. He said he has not been up to date for years now. small world.

Glassmen alum? I need to know his name!

Surprisingly, the kids seemed to like this one more. Irving Berlin over Kendrick Lamar - go figure.

Mike

I liked this year's show even better than the last few...so much fun in it, very entertained.  👍

Second intermission;

River City Rhythm: love their uniforms. Creative and engaging show.

Guardians: every year they are so different. This had to be the most entertaining, at least for my tastes. Suited them very well and the audience loved it. I’m thinking they will be on the rise next year.

7th Regiment performed their hearts out. Such a difference since their early season show. They should be proud of their growth,

Southwind: Strong performance overall. It could be strong enough for semi’s, depending on Cascades performance,

Louisiana Stars: like the new color scheme. Enjoyed the show too. It will be interesting to see if they stay ahead of Southwind.

Gold: their cases reminded me of “Deal or no Deal.” All kidding aside, the show was well designed and captivating. They are formidable and must have the jump to WC in mind.

Legends: love this show and it is well done. The corps is animated throughout.

Spartans: lots have wondered how they would fare against SCVC and BDB. My thought is very well. Today was like a victory lap and the energy was amazing,

Back to my seat.

Trumpet soloist and snares trading off to start the second movement. Speaking of Madison, this guy has Madison soloist written all over him, with a little Al Hirt for good measure.

Wonder who he'll be marching with next year.
