They've been in the driver's seat at the beginning of and thru every season for over 10 years now. It's always an upset when they lose. I can see GE getting squeezed together, strong GE from the 6th place corps and Bluecoats setting the ceiling makes that GE gap close a bit. But it makes way more sense given the lack of a ceiling in music for the fight to happen there. BD is going to hit the ceiling in visual. The judges aren't going to squeeze the margin just because BD ran out of points to gain. They are going to keep the comparison margin in those captions. One of the two has been winning almost every show this season including head to head. This would be valid if the panels were the exact same every night. Nothing new. Oh I agree with you, those numbers will drop. 5th and 6th might even stagnate a bit overall, but those top corps won’t. They’ll go up!
