Precious Roy
I want to see somebody do a show called "Mello sustain." They can have whatever other music in the production, but there's mellophones holding a note through it all. Sort of like scv's moto perpetuo, but with sound. 3
lawdn
My friend Rod adores giant airborne pices if fabric in shows, and we have started our own informal caption award for Achievement in Giant Airborne Pueces of Fabric, judged solely by him. I think Surf is getting ready to lock up this caption.
kevingamin
Next on the field is Jersey Surf from Berlin, New Jersey. Here is their 2019 program information, courtesy of Drum Corps Xperience: FantaSea Oceans by Goff Richards Moses and Marco Polo Suite by Ennio Morricone The Legend of Atlan (from Aquaman) by Rupert Gregson-Williams Op. 28: The Sea, Fantasy in E major for Orchestra by Alexander Glazunov Aurora Awakes by John Mackey He Commands the Sea (from Aquaman) by Rupert Gregson-Williams
rr4353
SO happy for Surf that they've come so far with this show. They have my vote for the "most improved" corps this year, along with Pacific Crest.
kevingamin
I dunno. I think this corps needs more blue. 1
Dpsouthern81
Have a great run Surf!
kevingamin
Nice. The corps kneels behind the props, but their plumes are still visible above them, so they sway from side to side like they’re underwater.
kevingamin
Nice opening statement by the horns! Trumpets sounded really good on the right side.
kevingamin
A very sophisticated book for Surf this year, and they do a great job of conveying the theme.
kevingamin
Of course, you can’t do an aquatic show without La Mer.
