I thought the Blue Devils' 1989 sop soloist seizing up at Finals would be the most painful to watch drum corps experience of my life.

Then they made me sit through Dan Potter interviews...

I’ve got that on VHS, burned from the PBS broadcast.

After all the years, I still simultaneously cringe and cry for the poor fellow.

Trumpets and snares over at the far right staircase. Now to the baritones and basses on staircase #2, side 1, 40 yard line.

Scepter is thrown and run over to the 3rd staircase with the mellophones and tenors.

Evil Doxology as the scepter is fought over and the corps collapses on the ground, spent.

We hear snippets of the opener from soloists overlayed on the opening vocals from Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Up high at LOS. Lots of echo, as warned. Presuming this will clean up some as the ensembles improve. Love seeing the visuals though. Only arrived for Spirit on, of course loved my Crossmen, dug Phantom and Mandarins too. Phone dying fast so won't be posting much
