Jersey Surf's final score and placement in World Class by year, since moving to that division:

[...]

2012 -- 75.45 -- 19th (of 22 -- and 20th of 35 overall) -- "Bridgemania"

2013 -- 75.40 -- 20th (of 22 -- and 22nd of 36 overall) -- "Soul Surfin': Bring on the Funk!"

2014 -- 75.80 -- 20th (of 22 -- and 22nd of 37 overall) -- "Pay It Forward"

[...]

Yesterday, with "FantaSea", they scored 76.413, placing 21st (of 22 -- and 24th of 36 overall). [...]

That's an average improvement of 0.253 from Prelims to Semis, so if today's performance was solid, they might reasonably hope to score 76.666.

OK, so scores came just as I posted this, and while Surf's score dropped from yesterday, they did in fact beat their 2012-2014 scores, getting 75.90.

(But not their 2012-2014 placements.)

Nice. Mellophones form an 11 coming out of the opening company front. Also love the spin move the horns do to turn front.

Trumpets get their turn midfield before they join with the mellos for a hit.

Nice sound from the middle and low brass on the right side of the field.

Love these silks, too.

PIt opening for the second movement. New flags have more of a sky look to them in my eyes.

Yeah, yesterday seemed like a safe performance. They knew they didn’t have to worry about making any cuts then. Today, last show of the season, so leave it all on the field.

Baritone soloist on side 2, joined by the mellophone line as they encircle him and play.
