I think we should leave that statement out of this forum since many of us here ARE liberal.

Frankly, I don't have a problem with the mission statement given how many people who have marched Cadets have lived up to that statement.

Wow. I'm 75% liberal too - except fiscally. However you all missed the point I was making and that's fine

Prior leadership preached a value system they failed to live up to - similar to a priest molesting little children and preaching christian ideals. Hoping that is more clear

And I feel a brand new mission statement is needed. Time to keep traditions but shed the YEA! mantras. JMO

And some of us are middle of the road enough to see the BS from both ends...

I'm in the middle. And wasn't making a political point.

I May not have any talk in this thread, about all this brand new situation. My honest opinion is, if your going to start fresh, JUST start fresh! simple. With that said, i agree with George Dixon, Mission Statement should also be change.

Okay misunderstanding on my part. Not sure how the word liberal fits in your post but what you said above makes it clearer. Lot of “left overs” Cadets dealing with...

it's really getting hard to post and respond here...

HOPKINS was always posting FAR LEFT "ideals" but didn't live up to THEM

I wasn't criticizing liberal ideals - I believe in most if not all of them

"Liberal BS" doesn't sound like criticism? Come on.

People are being way too nitpicky. It's THAT bad where now we have to replace a mission statement? I believe the statement is NOT about him, but more about those of us who have lived up to it after marching Cadets.

They need a massive rebrand and personally yes I would discard anything associated with just YEA! Just smart marketing IMO

Then why not just change the name of the entire corps too?

Sorry. This is just overkill imo. Proposing all this stuff about getting rid of it is less important than focusing more on the actual meaning of it.
