Sad as pink slips are, they result in new job offers both to old staff with different Corps and to newcomers -- of which I know quite a few.

I know Scott (director) and Drew (brass arranger) with the Cadets.  They are top notch individuals with a deep love for the Corps (both are Cadet alumni).  Please back off the “calling for heads” of specific individuals in this thread unless you know the details of their situation.  I’m sure the Cadets will make the best decisions possible concerning staff changes.

He's also a 1983 Garfield Cadet, accomplished band director, and basically worked miracles at Cadets since April 2018. By all accounts that I'm aware of, he's a wonderful director and it's a surprise to me he wasn't 2018 director of the year.
